That's about right when you go to a new job you get a few seconds to minutes tutorial on how to do task then left on your own to do the job instead of taking time with people to properly teach/train them to do the job until they get the hang of it. But also that is why you have someone with seniority constantly watching you to see if your getting the hang of it.
